Almost no one quits a language because the words are hard. They quit because making the deck is slower than studying it - typing each term, translating it, writing an example, and getting the formatting exactly right for whichever app they study in. NextLang deletes that step. A sentence, a photo of a textbook page or a 30-page PDF becomes a finished set in seconds, pitched at your CEFR level, with example sentences, multiple meanings and part-of-speech tags. Twenty languages in any direction, so Japanese to Spanish is as easy as English to French, and fill-in-the-blank cloze decks come out in each app's own native cloze type.

The difference is in what you get out. Anki sets download as a real .apkg and Mochi sets as a native .mochi - packaged in your browser, fields and tags already mapped, pronunciation mp3s riding inside the file - so the deck opens as a finished deck rather than a CSV to map. Then it stops being a one-off export: a saved deck can grow by up to 30 new cards at a time, study mode flips the cards on the page, any word can be saved into your vocabulary where an FSRS schedule, the one Anki also offers, spaces each review by how well you answered, and an article, transcript or subtitle file can be turned into a level-appropriate word list in one pass, each word with the sentence you met it in.

Around the generators sits everything that costs nothing to give away: a public gallery of decks other learners published, a free Phrasebooks hub of hand-vetted situational packs for the doctor's office, the Bürgeramt or a job interview, and browser-only converters that turn a spreadsheet, a Quizlet export or an existing Anki deck into the right file - plus one that adds neural-voice audio to a deck that arrived silent. You pay per generation, not per card, and never for studying, saving or re-downloading.

And it no longer needs its own tab. NextLang is a remote MCP server, so Claude and ChatGPT can connect to the same account with a one-time Google sign-in and a consent screen: the chat quizzes you on the words that are due and saves the results to the same schedule, turns a list you pasted into a deck for free, generates or extends one for a credit with the website's own generator, and hands back a one-hour link to the .apkg or .mochi file. Every tool acts only on the signed-in account, and disconnecting cuts it off at once.
